Liran Tal is a security researcher, open-source maintainer, author, and developer advocate. His work focuses on helping developers build secure software, from Node.js applications and software supply chains to AI agents and MCP integrations.

Liran leads Developer Relations at Snyk. He researches security problems in developer tooling, open-source ecosystems, and AI agent systems, and shares practical guidance through articles, conference talks, and research papers. His writing and selected projects are collected on this site so readers can follow sources back to original articles, code repositories, and publications.

He maintains open-source tools including lockfile-lint and npq, and has written books on Node.js and software security. Selected papers are available as preprints, while conference talks and events are listed in the speaking archive.
